Since he began practicing law seven years ago, Nick Barry has always been a trial lawyer. He has litigated a variety of different types of cases and has a broad litigation background. He began his career as a judicial law clerk for Judge William O. Bertelsman in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. His clerkship provided a behind-the-curtain view of the litigation process. Since then, he has represented individual and commercial clients in numerous types of litigation throughout the state, including business, real estate, and insurance coverage disputes, as well as fraud claims and breaches of contract. He has also represented creditors in the United States Bankruptcy Courts in Tennessee.

Nick served in the United States Air Force from 2004 until 2008 — serving in both Kuwait (2006) and Iraq (2007) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa in 2010. He graduated from Vanderbilt Law School in 2013 with his Juris Doctorate. While at Vanderbilt, Nick’s focused course selections earned him Vanderbilt Law School’s Law and Business Certificate.
Nick was honored to serve the State of Tennessee as an Assistant Attorney General in the Health Care Division for the Tennessee Attorney General’s Office. While there, he represented the State of Tennessee against a number of claims including state and federal constitutional claims. He also represented the Department of Health and the various Boards of Health for the State of Tennessee.
Nick works closely with Bill Leader, representing plaintiffs in medical malpractice, wrongful conduct, product liability, premises liability, negligence and fraud cases.
